We're Not Grunt Style, Just Humble Sundays

Now let me be the first to say that this is not a diss track or an attack on Grunt Style. As far as I know, they are a solid company that genuinely supports the veteran community. I’ve seen their content, and I’ve laughed, nodded along, and appreciated what they bring to the table. They’ve done an incredible job of creating a recognizable brand that resonates with many veterans and patriotic Americans alike. Their journey from a small startup to a nationally known name is nothing short of inspiring.

If anything, Grunt Style represents what’s possible. They’ve shown that veterans can beat the odds, succeed in the business world, and build something that connects with people far beyond just those who served. They’ve taken their unique identity and turned it into a powerhouse of a brand—and for that, I tip my hat to them.

But with that said, our difference is simply style.

You see, I was indoctrinated into a community with one of its core ethos being to be a “quiet professional.” And to clarify, this isn’t just some catchphrase—it’s a mindset. It’s a way of carrying yourself with humility and respect. Being a quiet professional doesn’t mean being silent about your experiences; it means understanding that service is its own reward. It means not seeking recognition for every act of sacrifice, every deployment, every hardship. It means being proud without being loud.

This ethos—this quiet, humble approach to service and life—is something I’ve internalized deeply. And I know I’m not alone. I’ve met countless veterans over the years who carry themselves with that same reserved confidence. Veterans who’ve accomplished far more than I have, yet never seek the spotlight. Veterans who know that some of the most profound experiences can’t be explained in words—or plastered in bold, flashy graphics across a T-shirt.

That’s why I started Humble Sundays.

Humble Sundays isn’t about shouting. It’s not about screaming “thank me for my service” from across the room. It’s about the subtle nods, the quiet respect, and the shared understanding between those who’ve been there. It’s about wearing something that means something—to you and maybe to another vet who happens to spot it—but that doesn’t need to be explained or announced.

Our designs reflect that. Low-key, meaningful, and rooted in the values we held while in uniform: humility, camaraderie, and purpose. We’re here to raise a glass not just to our service, but to the friendships we made, the sacrifices we witnessed, and the stories that only make sense over a drink with someone who gets it.

So, if you’re looking for bold graphics, hilarious slogans, and patriotic flair, Grunt Style is your place. They’ve carved out a space for veterans who want to make a statement, and they do it well. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. In fact, I think it’s great that we, as a community, have options.

But if you’re looking for something more understated—something that only a fellow veteran across the bar might recognize—Humble Sundays might be more your speed. We’re not here to compete. We’re here to coexist—to offer another way to express pride in service without saying a word.

At the end of the day, we’re all part of the same tribe. We’ve just chosen different ways to tell our stories.
